We are proud to present Tom Blake House, former school house now guesthouse, situated in the historic town of Kells, Co Meath.
David hails from Co. Galway and Avril is originally from the locale. However they moved home from New York, where they met in 2003, having lived for seventeen and fifteen years respectively.
David studied hotel management at Birmingham College of Food and Avril worked in hospitality on her way to a BA from UCD. This made finding work in New York easy and they both loved their time there, working hard, travelling and eating their way around the U.S.
On returning home David excelled in the 12 week course at Ballymaloe, he looks after the kitchen side of the property. Avril completed an interior design course and you can see that she has a wonderful eye for detail in the interior finish at Tom Blake House. Their passion for hosting guests comes naturally to them with a little help from daughter Maisie and a golden retriever named Blue!
